Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 9, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Murmurate Digital Limited uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit www.murmurate.digital or use the Murmurate carbon calculator, and your rights to control our use of them.

01 | What are cookies?

Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used by website owners to make their websites work, to make them work more efficiently, and to provide reporting information.

Cookies set by the website owner (here, Murmurate Digital Limited) are called "first-party cookies". Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called "third-party cookies", and enable third-party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website.

02 | What cookies we use

We keep our use of cookies to a minimum. We use only cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary for the Services to work:

  • Session and authentication cookies. Set when you sign in to the Murmurate platform, so you stay signed in as you move between pages. They are essential to providing the service you have asked for.
  • Security cookies. Used to protect forms and sign-in against cross-site request forgery and other abuse.
  • Browser storage. Used to keep your work on your device if you are not signed in.
  • Sign-in provider cookies. If you choose to sign in with your Google account, Google may set cookies needed to complete that sign-in.
  • Linked Mycelium sign-in. If you choose to link your Murmurate account with a Mycelium account, cookies are used so that you stay signed in to both.

We do not use advertising cookies, we do not use cookies to track you across other websites, and we do not sell or share cookie data with advertisers.

If we introduce cookies in a new category in future, such as analytics cookies that require consent, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

03 | How you can control cookies

Because the cookies we set are strictly necessary for the Services to operate, they cannot be switched off within the Services themselves. You can still set or amend your web browser controls to accept or refuse cookies, though if you block them some parts of the Services, such as signing in, will not work. Clearing your browser storage will remove work kept on your device.

04 | Other tracking technologies

We do not currently use web beacons, tracking pixels or similar technologies on the Services. If that changes, we will describe them here.

05 | Updates to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.

06 | Where can I get further information?

If you have any questions about our use of cookies, please email info@murmurate.digital or write to Murmurate Digital Limited, Castleton Barn, Clifford, Hereford HR3 5HF, United Kingdom. For how we handle personal data more broadly, see our Privacy Policy.
